We have lists of people who can give you advice on where to sell, how to sell it and all sorts of opinions.
We can do live sound. We have (2) Mackie 15" two-way mains, (2) JBL EONG2 monitors, (2) Mackie 18" powerd subs, (1) Mackie 24 channel board, (1) 24-channel 100 foot snake and lot of mics and extras. Over 7000 watts of power. (minimum charge of $950/day)
We have recorded, produced, mixed and mastered, Christian, Rock, Classical, Heavy Metal, Hip-Hop, Rap, Country, and Pop albums.
Your and your project are unique. Therefore your pricing will be taylored to your needs. The info below is to give you an idea of what it might cost. Please come in and visit the studio so you can get the quote you want.
*We have a standard hourly rate of $35.00.
*We can do simple projects for $350.00 for a half day.
*We have a single day rate of $550.00. All of our rates include a very experienced engineer. " from tracking to mastering."
*We have a 3 song demo package of $650.00 that includes full access to our facility, an engineer, recording, mixing and mastering. The process generally takes 2 studio days. One Day to record and the other day to do the mixing and mastering. If you are trying to get noticed by venues, labels and other musicians, this is the package for you if you are well practiced and know what you want to do.
*We have a 5 song demo package of $750.00. We expect the process to take about 2-3studio days, This is for taking your music to the next level.
*We have a full CD package (6 to 10 songs) at $2550.00 that includes full access to our facility, an engineer, recording, mixing and mastering. We expect the process to take 4-6 studio days, plus meetings with you before recording begins and discussions on the sound of your final mix.
*We have a CD package (up to 15 songs) at $3550.00 that includes the standard CD above package plus graphic art and pictures for your 1000 CDs in jewel cases.
*We even have a Deluxe Package at $4,900 where you get ( 1 to 10 Songs ), 1,000 CD's in Jackets, 24 custom-printed T-Shirts, 300 11" x 17" posters & 1000 2" square stickets
If you know what you want to do, don't need a producer, and think you can move through a studio quickly, just book the days you need and work at your own pace and schedule. Most well practiced bands can do a complete (including mastering) CD in 4 or 8 days.
All these packages can be scheduled for your convinence. I recommend breaking down some of the studio days into several half days to work on addtional parts on week nights, allow time to hear the mix in many different places, and allow the mix to "settle" and "age" before making final changes.
Your experience in the studio will be unique, and dictated by many influences. I have had some bands in here for over 20 studio days, others did everything in 2 days. I have had bands compose music in the studio, as it is so easy to hear how it should sound in a relativey short period of time.
* All sessions (hourly, half day, daily and CD packages) includes an engineer who knows how to make you sound your very best and keep things running smoothly.
* Producers chosen (based on interviews and mutual consent) take into account your needs, music style and scheduling to help you be ready for your sessions in the studio. The producer is also a big help during recording to make sure you get that sound that you have always wanted. The producer helps in the final mix process so you can get that wonderful sound you know you can do.
* Everyone gets full access to all the excellent mics, processors and instruments.
* Three “extended-stay” style hotels are located within a single block of Black Cat Studios, making it convenient for out of town artists to record here.
* A number of restaurants and coffee shops are also conveniently located within a short walk of Black Cat Studios and provide way excellent way for musicians to stay fresh and relaxed.
We require at least 25% deposit to hold recording dates, plus half the total fee on the first day of recording, the balance on completion. All prices are negotialbe, as all projects are unique.
